Reopen Window Checkbox
When you choose shutdown or restart…
You will see a dialog box much like the one below.
Please do not leave this checked.
(This is one of those check boxes away from greatness.)
If you ever have a problem… if that box is checked…
You will have the same problem when you restart.
And that's not good…
That's all for today…Have a great weekend!

Menumate
Menumate is a handy little program…
(I learned about it from Dr. Bob's course Working Smarter For Mac Users.
A Great course by the way…I highly recommended it, if you have time.)
It puts your menus from any open app on your desktop wherever your mouse is...
Here's what the finder looks like.
I like it…But it phones home every 15 seconds to an analytics server…
I've never seen another app do that…Especially given the simplicity of the app.
I disabled it with Little Snitch.
No conclusions…Just curious. I emailed them…I have not heard back from them yet.
That's for another day… :-)

Yet another mail update :-)
I was looking at the new Mojave Beta…
There is a huge Move To button in the middle of the Mail window.
They've had it since system 10.7…
But you had to use the customized toolbar to get to it.
I bet people make it out as a new feature. :-)

Apple Mail tips 2
Today's tip is in Apple Mail app.
When looking in a mailbox in Apple's mail…
You can change the sorting method, whether it's by date, subject, received from, etc.
See photos below…
My two favorites are Date Received and Received From.
If you click on date received… it will reverse the chronological order.
Click on it a second time… it will change back.
Click on it a second time… it will change back.
Received From can be used when deleting or moving emails in mass.
Click on Received From… them find me email you want to move…
Choose the top one in the list that you want to move…
Choose the top one in the list that you want to move…
Click on it once…
Hold the shift key…
While still holding the shift key… click the last one in the list you want to move.
Now click on the Move To Icon that you have customized from my first mail tip.
Choose the mail folder you want to send them to… and like magic they are there.
You can also just hit the delete key on the keyboard if you're looking to throw them all away at once.
That's it for today :-)

New Blog!
Hi...I'm creating this blog to give my tips and reviews of Macintosh software.
I've been working on Mac's since 1989.
There are no ads…and I don't get paid...
Unless you click the donate button. :-)
